Held on Sunday 8th December at Salem Chapel, Pencoed, the service aimed to remind families who have lost loved ones about the warmth of shared Christmases past, of the brightest Christmases to come and the importance of fellowship and support and an occasion for people to come together and remember loved ones at this special time of year.
The service was led by Pastor Vernon King with readings from Russell Lewis and Beryl Vaughan and included the opportunity to place a star on the Christmas tree in memory of those sadly no longer with us
With superb performances from Cowbridge Male Voice Choir, Noteworthy Mixed Choir and soloist Natasha John the service was a fitting tribute to those we have lost and miss everyday but especially at this time of year. It was lovely to see so many attend again this year and we’re pleased to announce that we raised £871.00 for LATCH, the Welsh Children’s Cancer Charity.
Thank you to everyone who supported the service again this year. Special thanks to the Pastor King, Rhiannon Williams, the Friends of Salem, Pencoed Town Council and Geraint Thomas, Town Clerk..
