UPDATED: Number of attendees at funerals

Coychurch Crematorium There will be no limit on the number of people who can attend a funeral service. Once the chapel pews are full, the cloister area will be utilised for standing room and otherwise outside. The doors will be opened and the outside speakers will be in operation should they be required. Singing will be permitted in the chapel if a face covering is being worn. Social distancing – All pews will be reinstated, and we would request that sensible consideration is given to other people’s personal space, including staff, while attending services.

Bridgend County Borough Cemeteries – All restrictions at BCBC Cemeteries will cease. It is requested that sensible consideration is given to other people’s personal space, including staff, while attending services, and especially at the graveside, where the use of face coverings is recommend.

Margam Crematorium – maximum of 50 invited guests

Gyntaff & Llwydcoed Crematoriums – maximum of 30

Face coverings remain mandatory for indoor pubic spaces.

“When organising a funeral, the person responsible must expressly invite those they wish to attend, and whilst this does not require any formality such as sending an invitation in writing, maintaining a list of those invited for NHS Wales Test, Trace, Protect purposes is strongly advised.”
